India beat Australia by an innings and 132 runs in Nagpur — BCCI Iceland Cricket took a dig at Indian players after the opening Test against Australia at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. The first Test between India and Australia was the target of massive criticism before it even started. First of all, the Indian cricket board was criticised for pitch doctoring, making it relatively difficult for the left-handed batters as the visitors had five left-handers in their playing eleven.

Australia struggled with the bat in the first and second innings as they managed to score 177 and 91 runs, respectively.Meanwhile, amid the Test, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was accused of ball tempering when Jadeja applied a soothing cream to a swelling on the index finger of his bowling hand without asking for permission to do so from the on-field umpires. After the incident, the International Cricket Council (ICC) penalised Jadeja for violating the Code of Conduct and fined 25 percent of his match fee while also giving him a demerit point.Amid the controversial Test, Iceland Cricket, renowned for their hilarious remarks on Twitter, took a jibe at the Indian players."So, Rohit, Ravi and Ravindra, you can do it in home conditions, but what about on an icy Saturday on Langjökull glacier? It will need more than some ointment on the finger to grip the ball here. Good conditions for bowling the slider, though," the cricket board wrote.
It is worth mentioning here that within three days of the first Test, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jadeja crushed Australia, giving India a resounding innings-and-132-run victory. The hosts had a dominant 223-run advantage after the first innings in Nagpur, then skittled out Australia for 91 in a lengthy second session to claim a 1-0 series lead.
